Sedap Noodle

I was in the mood of having some light FIshball Noodles plus I was not feeling so well. My throat was killing me and I couldn't stop coughing. So I decided to get some Fishball Noodles and the one nearby my home is at Clementi Central.
It was my first time trying them out, Usually I would go further at Jurong Point but the standard are dropping. So instead of eating there, we dabao back. HE!
Once home, I put them in a big bowl. A nice generous of yellow noodles, not so oily soup (I hate it when oil floats on the surface of the soup) few slices of fishcakes and some some fishballs. To make it spicy, i added cili padi which was soaked with light soya sauce. The predict: hmmmm... Perfect for my throat. Filling? Nope but if you don't want anything heavy, this is perfect.

Japanese Food
Banquet #B1-42 to 44 Jurong Point Shopping Centre
Singapore 648886
Its very hard to find Halal Japanese food. So when Japanese food was introduced at Banquet years ago I was delighted although I don't really like wasabi. It was right at the back where now Komal's situated. So when it ended I was not happy. I love Chicken Don! When one day I came back and I saw new stall, HE! Japanese food! I scanned thru the menu, I saw Chicken Don but I looked at something better "Uncle, Ebi Don Dabao"
Brought home, I checked hmmm... 2 thick prawn fillets. Loads of egg. Good balance of calrose rice. Taste-wise. not bad not bad. I always make it better, eatting with mayonaise and cili padi soaked in light soya sauce. But... time can tell if the standard of food would maintain. That food outlet is famous for reducing their standard.

Carousel
Royal Plaza on Scotts
25 Scotts Road, Singapore 228220
Ask any Muslims in Singapore what is the best buffet to go? CAROUSEL!!! Why
1: The food is 100% halal
2: Its resonably price
3: Great service
4: Loads of choices
5: The Dessert Bar is crazy!!!
I decided to take my mum to Carousel on her birthday. It's been a while since we went there. So both of us are not big eaters so I thought we go for high tea. I made booking more than 1 month just in case. Coz that place is always book. For only SGD33+++ per adult on a weekday, this is a great price. And if you think what to eat for high tea. Oh well.
First we need appetisers. Their huge range of sandwiches caught my eye, I grabbed the seafood and egg mayo. Then I took chicken pasta salad. Yum... I also saw a nice range of sushi. Not a fan but its good they have that. But the best, the best appetisers. A huge range of fresh seafood! I saw a huge salmon fish, crab claws, big fresh prawns, mussels, clams. Oh wow! I wish i can take the photos but by the time I wanted to take, most of the food are gone.
Oh btw, as I say the dessert bar is crazy. You can either eat bit then stuffed yourself with the dessert OR grab those first if you are worry they will be gone
After having the appetisers, I looked around to look for main course. Hmmm nasi lemak. Plate! My mum grabbed gado-gado. There are other, like Chinese noodles and Indian rojak. But I was not interested in those. The nasi lemak is so lemak! the chilli is so nice. Then we took some other fried things just to snack. My mum loves these spring roll which has scallop in it. Thought of getting those when I saw CARROT CAKE!!! One spoonful
I didnt take all there is to offer but I saw soups, loads of salads, huge range from Malay, Chinese and Indian cuisines
Next stop, DESSERT. And one thing, the only one thing I love from Carousel, Bread and Butter Pudding. I took a good scoop and smothered it with Vanilla. I wanna put chocolate sauce from the fountain but I did not want to get a scolding from the staff. Hmmm... Other than that they have muffins, scones, puddings, cakes, chocolate fountain, different Malay kuehs. Oh wow we went crazy! Phew we were full!
My mum said she wants the ice kachang. Huh?! Not full?! I made ice kachang for her with jelly and cendol and loads of atap seeds with shaving ice.
Oh btw it's my mum's b'day and Carousel was so sweet to give her a huge birthday cupcake.

Pastamania
1 Fusionopolis way #01-21 Connexis Singapore 138632
Pastamania arrives at my workplace, finally, another choice to eat. And usually I don't eat there because of the long queues and sometimes the long wait but hey husband is paying for it. So I got myself Chicken Sausage, peas and chili in creamy tomato sauce. I chose penne, one of my favourite.
Im a huge pasta fan and Im very particular about it. Besides my birthday happens to be Pasta Day so it's a big deal. So far I have been eating Pastamania only 3 times. The second time was the most dissappointing as the portion was like a kids' size. And maybue due to feedback, a good portion for every order.
And the taste is good, as some pasta I have eaten somewhere, the pasta tends to be cold BUT the sauce is piping hot, which I hate. I tend to have both hot and cold in my mouth. This is my recommendation pasta

Swensen's
1 Woodlands Square Causeway Point
#02-02 Singapore 738099
Causeway Point reopened recently so we hang out there to see what's in store. Despite the many many food available, we decided we have not been to Swensen's for sometime. Saw the new layout, I think it's the trend now. Open concept, no windows or walls so people who walked pass the restaurant can literally smell the food as you are tucking in. :D
Anyway we sat at the open concept which is actually we hate that seat, thankfully not long queue. Why? If the queue was long, those people at the queue would be looking at us eat and smell the food. I felt like I was in a foodcourt, where people would be standing near our table, and making us nervous so we could get off our tables fast.
I love the service we were given. They were so attentive and fast and they smiled and greeted us. We saw the restaurant was packed so we decided quick what to eat or it will be even longer to get our food.
My dear husband got my once favourite fish & chips. No offence but the damn fish getting smaller. I got myself a soft shell crab chili pasta (again?!) I love soft shell and I love pasta. Sprinkle chili flakes... SHIOK! Then we got ourselves our favourite ice cream, Sticky Chewy Chocolate. Oh the small little gadget you see there, too bad we didnt get the chance to use it. Instead of calling of waitress, trying to get his attention, just pressed the button. I saw similar to that in Kuala Lumpur. Smart huh?
