Evanescence Concert
Live at Singapore Indoor Stadium
One of mummy's wish came true! To see Evanescence live here in Singapore! To love the band is an understatement. Mummy said you have to understand the words and the music. And of course Amy Lee's voice accompany it. She almost missed watching them if not for her niece tweet. And the moment it's confirm they were coming, she got hold of the ticket. Nevermind if she's watching alone and nobody joined in. Its her and the band. That means she did not bring me along. :( Read below her review
It's been too long! Too long! The moment I heard the song "Bring Me To Life" played on the radio for the movie Daredevil in 2003, I have to know more about the band.
When I found out they were really coming, I asked my hubby if he wanted to join but he's not a fan. I said too bad. By hook or crook, I'm going. So I got myself a balcony seat, not intending to be in moshpit as it's a Monday and it's a work day. But of all the concerts I went to Indoor Stadium, that got to be the best seat. It's the center and I got a full view of it.
Then the lights off, my Samsung Galaxy S2 was all set. I heard a familiar beating of the drum. I said to myself It's "What You Want" I hit record. Band in full force with Amy in a dress, look like a half quilt (actually if anybody follows fashion it looks like Sarah Jessica Parker's Alexander McQueen dress) with her jet black straight hair and porcelain skin. I was sitting far away from the stage and I could see her clearly. Although none of the people in my block were actually standing (well I guess some of us are more than 30s) but we sang along to the songs.
This is one concert which is "cut to the chase, we are here to perform for you non-stop." And that's what we got. Song after song after song. No breaks for solo or even introduction. This is good! I basically recorded the whole concert!
Then Baby Grand Piano came and one song "Your Star" That note! That note! That was insane! She belted it out. In fact every song she belted out and it's as if we're watching an opera or a play coz every song they performed we would applaud them .
Of course "Bring Me To Life" "Call Me When You're Sober" "Lithium" were among the others as well as the latest "My Heart Is Broken" "The Other Side" and "Oceans"
Then after more than an hour, they said goodbye. I was like Oh No You Didn't! You have yet to sing "My Immortal" That is the song all of us were waiting for. She came out and true enough she sang, urging us to sing along. I sang with tears in my eye as I was thinking about my dad.
After more than one an half hour, we gave them a tremendous applause for coming and performing for us. Can't wait for the next one. Thank you Evanescence!!!
